Summary | 0012350: [RvR] Remove Keep Doors - stuck exploit. | ||||
Description | Reporter: XmatXergon ITS VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE - game breaking/exploiting. Expected behavior and actual behavior: Not getting stuck after pull from Engi/Magus/Choppa in Keep Doors after doors gets opened even though enemy who is pulling you, don't have Line of Sight on you (nature of AoE ability). At the moment some ppl who know how that ability works exploit it and pull enemies to make them stuck in doors. Yes, it is an exploiting, because if they were standing with their Tanks between doors, that would not happen, but instead they move behind doors and keep trying to pull enemies through the doors, into doors. You can even see exactly who are the choppas that position themselves to exploit that bug. I see only 2 possible solutions, either removing doors completely after they getting destroyed or fix pull in a way, where the pulling character can't pull target on which they don't have Line of Sight. Commenter: sioding Thanks for the report but i am sorry - this is not a bug. The abilities are working fine - the doors are working fine. All is see is a suggestion to improve the gameplay inside a keep. Commenter: Natherul if players do in fact get stuck due to the pull then it belongs here. Doors will not be removed but we can see if we can make attempts at fixing the pulls |

Commenter: XmatXergon Thanks Natherul. Someone suggested on forums that also maybe make doors as non-obstacle object but idk if thats better. There are not issues in Elf lands because there are no doors after they got destroyed. On screens number 3 and 4 (from bottom) you can see that i'm still alive but i get message in chat about Stuck. |

Commenter: Natherul making doors not cause collision is imho a worse solution. I would sooner look into the pull abilities themselves |

Commenter: Natherul Looked over GTDC just now and it does respect LOS (has for a very long time). Issue is that the doors themselves in this case does not appear to block LOS as it is right now. However removing the door is not an option. |

Commenter: XmatXergon So is there way for doors to make them block LOS ? Or atleast after doors go down, treat it like solid object/wall ? Its only problem in Empire keeps, it doesnt happen in Elf or Dwarf zones. |

Commenter: Natherul that is a different issue that will be fixed with next patch. The doors that dont calculate LOS will remain an issue for a while I imagine however. |

This issue is being closed as it should be fixed in the new ability system. Please create a new issue if this is not the case. | |
