Summary | 0019868: [Website] Armory - incorrect sorting/priority for player name search results
Description | Reporter: Zomega-WAR <!-- Issues should be unique. Check if someone else reported the issue first, and please don't report duplicates. Only ONE issue in a report. Don't forget screens or a video. --> **Expected behavior and actual behavior:** This might also apply to the armory search results in general. When you type in the armory search box it brings up a list of player names that partially or fully match your search query. This list is limited to 5 results. If there are more than 5 results then the extra results are not shown. Expected: I would expect the 5 results shown to be the 5 results with the shortest name. This means the exact match (if there was one) would be listed first, then the results with just 1 extra character, then 2 extra characters, and so on. This ensures that if you get an exact match then it will always show up in the search results, followed by the results that were closer. If you then add more letters to the search query then it will bring up the results with longer names that are close to matching. Actual: it seems it just displays any 5 results. This means that it is possible for the exact match to be missing from the displayed results if it chooses to display 5 longer partial matches instead. The result is that it is impossible to find and view the details of the exact match if this happens. **Steps to reproduce the problem:** Search for "bbb" on the armory. You get this: ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/60266177/156492020-9f494700-2203-4953-b6c3-42e57fd871f6.png) Now search for "bbbb": ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/60266177/156492126-15e11f2b-21fe-40d5-b65d-8bd0829792fc.png) The "Bbbb" character now appears, but really should be listed in the first search too as it was likely the closest match to "Bbb". I do not know if there is a character actually named "Bbb" that is not showing up. Another example: I have a character named "Fotm". It is impossible for me to bring it up on the armory as when I search for "Fotm" the armory shows longer results that partially match instead of the actual full match: ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/60266177/156492302-66fc9ae6-172e-4a56-9d6a-6059fb614008.png) Proof the character actually exists: ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/60266177/156492388-2ec64e71-d4b8-4ca7-b3d5-dc49133024e0.png)
