Summary | 0022396: WE & WH career resources display with delay | ||||
Description | After using WE or WH finisher, career resource updates in UI with unnessary long delay compared to before making gameplay feel very sluggish compared to before. For instance while casting channel while having let's say 4x WE frenzies or WH accusations, career resources display as 4 during the whole channel and only show correct career resource (0 in this case) after channel is finished. While channeling, player can actually cast another finisher (tested with WH Absolution) and even Absolution sound effect goes off but nothing happens (as in ability doesn't really go off, doesn't do damage and doesn't show in combat log etc) other than channel gets interrupted. It is as if client thinks WH still has 4 accusations even though he just used them by starting channeling trial by pain and only gets correct information from server after 3 seconds. On a side note this also renders WH Flowing Accusations tactic borderline useless because while playing with that tactic, one has to pay closer attention to career resources and it's hard to do when UI constantly gives false/delayed information (when using finisher with Flowing Accusation tactic and you get proc, career resource goes to zero and only after delay shows correctly as 2 compared to before when it would immediately show correctly as either 0 or 2 depending whether tactic procced or not. Steps To Reproduce | While playing WE or WH easiest way to repeat: cast channeled ability (ruthless assault or trial by pain respectively) and you should see that career mechanic only does to zero after channel is finished. While channeling, you should see other finisher buttons being lit up and pressable since client seems to think that you have career resources left. | ||||
Additional Information | While it might look like a trivial thing, it's QoL decrease compared to before since game feels more sluggish and unresponsive because of this plus now it's possible to accidentally cancel your channels and and one tactic is now borderline useless. Bottom line is that now UI displays career resources incorrectly for a pediod of time (worst case is around 3,5 seconds if you think from start of TBP channel with Flowing Accusations proc) so I'd still ask you to consider fixing it. All the bugs/oversights from live doesn't have to be in RoR. | |
