It's a pistol attack like every other execution, it should be used at ranged not melee. |

It is not a pistol attack, you burn your enemy with a torch in melee range. |

The tooltip says "pistol required" and "A cleansing shot of flame", nothing about a melee range torch. So at the very least the tooltip is wrong if this is really the intended behavior. |

It's always been a melee ability as far as I can remember and a really bad one at that. All finishers have "requires a pistol" tag. Tooltip has always read a bit ambiguously though, could use a rewrite. Same with Burn Away Lies. It's a "torch" attack too, if you are going by animations anyway, but reads very clearly as though it were a pistol/ranged attack. |

I didn't play WH on live so if it's always been like this then I guess it's intended, I assumed any pistol execution would be using pistol range. The tooltips could use updating though especially BAL as it very clearly says "A pistol shot that fires bullets" which makes no sense to be melee range. |
