I also lost around 1,000 war crests (Character is Hardestadt, 27 Witch Hunter). Possibly unrelated, but before it happened I noticed my crests had started stacking separately on their own. I merged the stacks and thought nothing of it. |

Tried what other players suggested. New crest Ive earned wont split, wont move to main bag & are grey/locked in the currency spot |

Are there really no snapshots of player/character data? I know I am one player and there's clearly other issues, but no time taken to respond in a week is disheartening. This is weeks / 2 months of efforts... gone. Should we be taking screenshots of our currencies / RR exp whenever we're on around the same time the server is about to go down? Will that even hold any validity? Buy our equipment as soon as we can afford it to prevent this? What about saving for replica rings? This is my first character to RR78 & it's bittersweet as I'm weeks behind being able to buy the rest of my sovereign set that I was already able to afford. I wasn't expecting to run into this kind of issue.. |

Some screenshots of the grey/locked currency spots and separate stacking would be useful, so far I've been unable to reproduce any kind of stacking / loss issues. Note that as a general policy, lost items due to bugs or other issues are not compensated (https://www.returnofreckoning.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16391). |

The grey/locking of the war crests was related to an Addon. Once disabled, I saw the Stack Split window pop up and that the crests picture turn that color when being split. I think what I experienced earlier, the locking/grey, was from the Stack Split window not showing up with an Addon enabled. As for the splitting war crests.. it was like I had my main pile of war crests, then ones I received from the mail for participation in a zone would go into the bag separately from the main stack & would have to be added to it manually. What addon were you using that caused that? Was the addon possibly responsible for the stacks becoming split in the first place? |

VinyUI & I don't believe so, have used it for about 2 months now and only saw that occur shortly before this |

Please also check the "List View" inventory mode in case it's a UI issue. |

You can also temporarily rename or delete your profile settings in user\settings\Martyrs Square\charactername to see if it helps. |

Thanks, but I've tried both of the suggestions above with no change, as well as disabling addons in general. I also tried to buy the equipment to see if it was a UI/display issue, but was unable to due to insufficient currency. |

I’ve experienced a similar issue over the last two days. Two days ago, I was at around 7.5k crests when I checked my bags and saw they weren’t stacking anymore. I think it might have been after taking crests from bags, but I’m not entirely sure. Not thinking much of it, I stacked them back up which seemed to work and just carried on. I proceeded to do a zone or two, and city, so I know that things looked fine as I checked and got decently close to 8k before logging out. The next day, I logged in, and joined late for a high pass siege without checking my inventory. After the lock, I looked and was down to 12 crests all from the lock. I’ve tried relogging, reloading, disabling all add-ons, swapping to list view, and buying cheaper items for war crests and nothing works. It isn’t a visual bug. There was some serious lag during the siege and lots of disconnects, but I never personally disconnected. Sadly, I can’t say if my crests were gone before the siege or not, so I can’t narrow it down that much. Is there any hope of getting my war crests back, or is there just nothing to be done? |

Exact same thing happened to me today. Logged out last night with ~8k crests I had saved up for Sov. Checked my count after first zone lock today and down to 100. I also noticed yesterday that a second war crest stack had been generated and I manually recombined them, so that may be related to the previous posts. Is there any way to get the crests back, or is it doomed? |

Any further outcome from this or we all at jeopardy of losing all our crests at any time? Seems it's been ignored for 4 months because bug is still happening. And NO it clearly isn't addons. |

Without knowing the cause, I think it's not unreasonable to say that there is a risk of anyone losing crests to the same bug. If you ever happen to see your crests split or stop stacking without reaching a full stack, do not touch your inventory and immediately get the attention of a developer on Discord. Unfortunately we're no closer to figuring out what's causing this bug as it seems to be extremely infrequent and random. |

Just a small update - we've made some progress on identifying the behavior of this bug. If you get a random stack of crests in your currency bag from this bug, as long as you completely ignore it and don't try to move or stack it, there should be no risk of your main stacks being lost. Be aware that the "ghost" stack will persist across a relog, but should disappear after a server restart. |

For anyone that ran into the bug and stacked the crests, do you remember if you moved the split stack onto your existing stack, or the existing stack onto the split stack? |

We are pleased to report that the bug causing War Crest loss has been identified and fixed, and further measures will be implemented to prevent this type of issue from occurring in the future. We understand that this bug has caused frustration and that many of you are asking about compensation for the lost currency. We want to address this directly and with transparency. As per our long-standing server policies, which can be reviewed at https://www.returnofreckoning.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16391, items or currency lost due to bugs are generally not eligible for compensation. Furthermore, the nature of this particular bug has unfortunately made it impossible for us to definitively determine which players were affected and the exact amounts of currency that were lost. Without this information, any attempt at compensation would be impractical and could not be executed accurately or fairly. We regret that this is disappointing news for those affected and thank you for your understanding. |
