| so is the bug the npc made it to its destination? or? most likely the npc despawns and a new one spawns at the location its supposed to be at. Were you not able to complete the quest? | |

I don't know how the quest is supposed to work, and it's been a few days now. Based on what I remember of the quest text, you are supposed to escort (or at least follow) the NPC from one town to the other. She flipped out halfway there, turned around, ran through terrain, clipped through a bunch of fences and such, and then turned around again, ran into a cliff, and then I lost track of her. I decided to go to the destination anyway and was able to turn in the quest. My guess is her pathing script has a set of coordinates that shouldn't be there, causing her to suddenly veer off into the wilderness. When I started the quest, it created a copy of the NPC for the actual escort. I assume the version of her that I turned the quest into was another copy. I guess that technically makes this a visual bug, of sorts, since you can still complete the quest. |
