Summary0010857: Crafting Backpack
DescriptionReporter: Squea

I see this issue was raised several times and closed. Pouch 5 is bugged in my crafting inventory, I suspect Pouch 5 slot 3 is the bugged slot. When crafting items are moved from my regular inventory by right clicking, my items go to Pouch 5 slot 1, and then quickly switch to slot 4; instead of the first available slot in any of the other pouches. Items that are in Pouch 5 slot 3 or 4 the items bug out and the stacks occupy the same slot switching back and forth between each other. I've tried just closing Pouch 5 altogether and not using it, but it is still used it just hides the pouch. This madness only happens in pouch 5. I've had this for some months, annoying but not game-breaking.

Seems to be effecting Apothocary items and not Talisman making items.

I had similar issue with my crafting tab, making it v hard to make potions. Turned out when I REMOVED all 'Item Preferences' options on the "normal backpacks" the problems disappeared with crafting materials moving around and multiple stacks in the same slots on the Crafting tab.

Excellent feedback. I checked my normal inventory and I had armor checked as a preference in the fifth pouch. I removed it per your suggestion, likely this is the issue.

Actually, this is an old bug that's yet to be solved - and in some ways it's worse now. It's somehow related to having items in your inventory that are incorrect or bugged in the server-side database tables... and there's a tie-in to the client somehow (see /reloadui reference below)

To whit, my inventory has NO preferences set... but should I move in certain errored seeds such as the flame breath ones you can far... it causes the inventory to start acting really weird. Sometimes a certain row/box will freak out, and hide-stack multiple items (like a pile) and one will be constantly "flashing" crazy. Other times you could end up with items (or it looks like just their quantities if it's the same item) from slot to slot - freaking out.

When your inventory freaks out, out of control, sometimes a /reloadui will fix it, other times you can log out, then log back in... and then slowly unstack the piled items (like pulling off a stack after stack piled on a single inventory slot.).

My inventory was fine until the other day they announced in the patch the ability to use or craft the flame breath, napalm, etc... but putting certain seeds of those in your inventory will start making stuff freak out all over the place... and I did a LOT of testing, but my inventory wouldn't calm down until I went to a mailbox and mailed all that stuff away to another character... and then boom, all is normal again.

Gonna confirm on this one, having any of the buggy seeds or plants in my bag (molotov, napalm, flame breath) caused my crafting bag to flip out in the same manner. The items in my crafting bag were attempting to move, and some split themselves into smaller piles. Nothing was ever lost, but until I mailed away the buggy mats and /rel, my bag continued to freak out anytime something was moved or added/removed. I still have bag preferences on and did before, but the bug has not continued now.
