As I understand it, someone detecting you in stealth and using a direct attack (including _applying_ a single-target DoT) has a chance to break stealth, but DoT ticks and AoE shouldn't?

Screenshot below shows Jagged Edge breaking stealth. Given the timestamps, it seems to have been caused by the application of it rather than by a damage tick.
