**Expected behavior and actual behavior:**
Expected:
- If I cast a spell which creates a lingering area of effect on a spot out of range, an error message appears and the spell fails
Actual:
- If I cast a spell which creates a lingering area of effect on a spot out of range, **no error is shown, the ability goes on cooldown and no effect is created**
**Steps to reproduce the problem:**
- Abilities I've reproduced this with: Magus Changing Tree Dissolving Mist and the Tornado. Shaman Sticky Feetz
How to reproduce:
- Click/use hotkey for one of the mentioned abilities
- measure out how far out of range begins
- keep the cursor there
- rightclick to cancel it
- press your hotkey for the ability at the out of range position and immediately leftclick to cast
- ability goes on cooldown, character plays the cast animation, no AP is spent and the ability is not actually cast
**Testing Screenshots/Videos/Evidences (always needed):**
**please note that in _some_ cases the ability instead casts at the closest possible position - but it appears that this only reliabliy happens if you start your positioning process _inside_ your max range, making snap casting prone to the described bug**
