Since the change of host, casting abilities are smoother and easier to cast. However I encounter a bug very often with my SH when I'm casting either Run & Shoot (shoot while I move) or Plink (basic shot 2s of cast). Sometimes if the target runs out of range the castbar just freezes.

You cannot press escape to cancel the cast bar. Sometimes you can unfreeze it by switching target in range and cast another spell. Sometimes switch doesn't work as well and you're stuck.

The only workable fix I've found atm, is to trigger a bugged ability like Squig armor (stance). Since the spell Squig Armor doesn't work at all, it just resets the cast bar.

It doesn't shoot, your character is stuck. The animation is stuck also!

Basically everything is stuck until you cast something else on another player in range. If it doesn't work I usually cast Squig Armor to unstuck my character's animation.

I tested it out on another class. It displayed exactly what I described.
1. First you start casting as if the target was in range.
2. "Out of range" message displays.
3. The ability doesn't come out.
4. The cast bar AND animation are frozen.
5. You cannot push escape to cancel or any other spells, your character is stuck.
6. You can unstuck by recasting in range or switching target. (doesn't always work)

Would also note in relation to this issue that both the defensive and offensive target appear to be checked for range / LoS when a spell is cast, no matter which target the spell should actually affect, so if your offensive target is unreachable when casting a healing spell upon your defensive target, a lock occurs, and vice versa. Quite obvious when playing the ranged healing classes.

Will test further and try to record hard evidence.

I will be looking I to fixing this soon. If the player goes out if range, the spell should be 'stopped', so the cast bar just needs to be stopped?

During the cast time. If the target becomes out of range, the casting bar completes to 100% and terminates. A message is displayed on the screen saying "target is out of range" (which it currently does).

The cast bar disappears and the player casting animation stops.

For abilities such as "searing tough" and "bunch o' waagh". If the target falls out of range during the ability cast. The ability should be interrupted/stopped and the "target is out of range" message is displayed.

Currently these 2 abilities cannot be interrupted, when the target is out of range.

No idea if you have figured out how to reliably reproduce it, but I noticed it was fairly easy to do with Archmage.

This is only tested locally, but I did experience this with the cast bar on live server with the ability Healing Energy (hard to reproduce). However Blessing of Isha (AoE heal) will hang at the end of the cast, while Boon of hysh (ST heal) will finish regardless who's targeted.
