Summary | 0020489: Friendly Player Lagshadows (doubles)
Description | Reporter: bosli42 In the last city siege, we had lagshadows of friendly players appear constantly in every fight after the first one. how it started: - we queued as a 24man against an enemy 24man - everyone got in the match, 2 or 3 of our people crashed on purpose after loading in to fix aura bugs or similar things - we didn't get any crashes / disconnects before the lagshadows appeared - nothing particularly weird was happening in the first fight the lagshadows behaviour: - they started appearing from the second fight at center flag, in (I think) every single fight afterwards - it was a targetable invincible / nonhealable copy of a seemingly random friendly-only player lagging (violently vibrating) in place with a set % of hp not moving - they would disappear at times and one of another player appear (didn't see either actually happening) - clicking the player in the warband UI led to the actual player, but the hp% was (at least sometimes according to healers) not updating and probably stuck on the lagshadow with "far" distance - the lagshadow would drop to a corpse when the player died, but not necessarily disappear (I have this on my recording with a dead player next to his double corpse) - different players had different lagshadows, i.e. it was not the same player for everyone. we can confirm this because it was especially bad for very few people (bad ping / NA), which claim they saw way, way more than 6 of them at once. I don't think we have a recording of those, but I will ask them to link anything they have (video or screenshots) - it probably wasn't happening for everyone, because about 1/4 to 1/2 of our players said they didn't notice any of this at all - I didn't ask the whole enemy team, but it seems like they didn't have this problem at all, otherwise they would know they tried to attack an invincible lagshadow at some point I have seen this bug before, but extremely rarely and only on a single player at most. If this is unknown or not seen yet in this magnitude, we have 2 recordings of the full match. One is from me, seeing about 2-6 at the same time at most, the other one is from someone that didn't notice them but probably had some appear too. If it's needed I will upload and timestamp some of the sightings, gonna take a day or 2 though.

Commenter: lilimx Hey, nice ticket....I know there is a similar ticket somewhere, but I won't close this one. |

Commenter: Scottx125 Just to put this here and keep the issue raised, my bug report which was closed because this is related has some more evidence to provide on this issue including some video footage of it happening 0020573. |

Commenter: bosli42 I was in the city mentioned above too (not as massively impacted as before), and I had another city siege in between the two with the same issue. All 3 of the city sieges with this happening were 24v24 premades |

Commenter: Emissaryx I can confirm last city we were in. Several friendly players were doubled with their "doppelganger" targetable but shaking violently and no abilities would affect them. It only happened in our city on the third phase. I would guesstimate though at least 12 shadow doppelganger's were shaking violently. All of my teammates could see them in the late night NA city the same doppelganger's that I could see shaking. Their have, however, been a lot of incidents lately where when I kill an opposing player their body will stay standing at zero health, targetable but not attackable. |

Hi bosli42, Thank you for your report. The issue with friendly player lagshadows (doubles) appearing during city sieges has been noted. Given the age of this ticket and the complexity of the issue, we will be closing it for now. If this problem persists, please open a new ticket with detailed information and, if possible, provide recordings or screenshots of the occurrences. This will help us investigate and resolve the issue more effectively. Thank you for helping us improve the game! Best regards, Emissary |
