| Description | While searching for secret stuff in T2 chaos I resorted to doing pretty much every quest I could find, I wasnt paying much attention to the names of quests but I did recognize some story elements: A quest which I think might have originally begun somewhere in Nordland/Norsca (at least part of which is called "Chosen," im not sure if the entire quest runs under that name) tells the story of your characters search for "the darkflame sceptre" and leads you all the way through T2 chaos until it's eventual end within the hard PQ tied to chaos chapter 9. Since I progressed backwards through the chapters from 9 down to 5 I managed to do the ending of that quest before I should even have begun it, and in so doing cut myself off from some story content and quest rewards. Rather predictably I have never attempted to do every quest in the game on a single character but the ability to skip chunks of them could potentially impact events in later chapters as well as those in previous ones. Possibly unrelated to that quest but I notice now there is an NPC in chapter 5 who will not give me a quest to kill some boars despite the fact that talking to him suggests the quest is already started and killing the related mobs does not advance the quest (tested via another character). Since my goal at the time was to find secret stuff I cant be sure but there is the possibility that I may have cut myself off from the ability to find said stuff, but as far as I know some of the secret content has not yet been found by any of the players and thus the dev(s) are currently the only people who know of any associated locations/quests and therefore the only ones who might possibly be able to work out if they're bugged. And as a side note to quest progression, waaay back on live each chapters rally master used to have a quest which activated when you got to level 2 influence in that chapter and told you to go and speak to the rally master in the next chapter (with the exception of the free-level scroll which existed on live I think all of those quest just awarded money/xp) - those quests are now unrelated to influence and can be done at any time, I have no idea if that poses any threat to the games continuity. | ||||
